Start with a useful overview
A title and a short introduction should tell readers what the document is for. Descriptive section names let people choose where to begin without first learning an internal naming system.
Use links for moving through a document
The “On this page” navigation links to these sections. On a narrow screen, it moves above the article rather than becoming a hidden side panel. The Home link and breadcrumb keep a route back to the collection in reach.
Offer a deeper outline when it helps
The outline below uses the browser’s native disclosure control. Open it to reveal section links, or leave it closed and continue reading. Its collapsed state does not hide any required article content.

Keep the way back visible
A section link should land at a meaningful heading. Returning to the collection should be possible from the end of the document as well as its beginning. These are small conventions, but they remove the need for special navigation commands.
