Build a source-aware research note

Start with a question. Keep relevant source passages beside your interpretation, and record the date and location of each passage. End with the limits of the answer and the next thing to check.

Gather the prompt, rubric, reading notes, outline, draft, and references into a small assignment packet. Keep requirements separate from your own ideas so that a draft can be checked against the actual task.

Record the purpose of a configuration, the change you made, the observed result, and how to return to the previous state. A command is more useful when its context and risks are recorded alongside it.

Leave a record of a decision

Write down the question, options, relevant information, chosen action, and review date. Separate what you knew at the time from what you learned later. A short decision note is often enough.
